This piece explores the evolution oft h e maternal relationship in an abstracted, fairy-tale influenced vignette. Ideas of emotional loss and evolution are reflectedagainst the empty landscape of the British seaside in Winter. Hypnotically pesented on repeat via large flat screen television standing on six cinder blocks, the piece has a painterly quality to it through grainy movement on screen and heavy use of image overlay and film dissolves. This aesthetic carrys over to the photographic prints presented below; two clipframes present two connected images side by side, resting against the cinder blocks beneath the screen. The black and white prints were hand developed by the artist.
